Dancehall artisteMavado says he was a victim of racial profiling at an Asian restaurant in New York recently. According to the Love In Your Heart singer, he was treated like a bum and even verbally abused at the restaurant because of the colour of his skin.

The artiste, who expressed his grouse with the restaurant via his Instagram page, claims he visited the establishment to have lunch with his family and friends. However, he was unreasonably forced to sit at the back even though it was pretty much empty.

Mavado also claims the manager of the restaurant prohibited him from using his phone in any manner, after which they rushed him to eat his food, as if they did not want to accommodate him and his guests for an extended period.

The artiste says his manager was later contacted by the restaurant and they profusely apologised for their actions, highlighting that they were ignorant to his popularity.

"Just went to ... restaurant and this manager - or whoever he wants to be was very disrespectful after I just spend a couple hundreds inside for me, my friends, and family. How could you have someone running a business and being prejudice, and trying to tell customers not to come back just because he didn't know who I am, but now he knows." Mavado posted on Instagram.

Mavado's story has since caught the attention of popular US urban media houses like TMZ and VLAD TV.

The artiste is currently promoting a single called Ain't Going Back Broke featuring Ace Hood and Future. The soon-to-be-released remix features Vybz Kartel. '

Well, that didn't take long -- one week after The Game got Mike Tyson tatted on his hand ... he allegedly decked someone so hard during a basketball game ... police were called to the scene.  

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Game was playing in a Pro-Am game Sunday at Hollywood High School when he got into a heated argument with another player. We're told Game threatened to kill the guy, punched him in the face and took off. 

Officers responded and the alleged victim filed a report. Police are investigating the incident as a battery.

TMZ Sports just spoke with a bisexual NFL player who's upset with Michael Sam -- telling us he was OFFENDED when Sam said other gay men in the league are less courageous because they don't want to come out.

The player -- who didn't want to be identified by name -- has played in the league for several seasons and says he's open about his sexuality with close friends. 

But when the player read Sam's recent comments about gay men in the league -- he was offended. 

Specifically, the player was upset when Sam said ... "I respect the players that did reach out to me and had the courage to tell me that they were also gay, but they do not have the same courage as I do to come out before I even played a down in the NFL."

The player's response -- "As a bisexual man, I just feel like Michael Sam does not speak for all gay men."

"He has his own opinion ... but DON'T say that we don't have the courage to come out. It's totally wrong. Just speak for yourself. No one else." 

"It's no one's business what my sexuality is. You should like me for me ... not for who I choose to be with."

The player continued ... "I feel the NFL isn't ready for people to be open about it. Or the General Managers for that matter." 

Despite those opinions, the player says he believes Sam DID get a fair shot to make a team -- "I just don't think he performed well."

Prince shamelessly stole a recording artist away from the producer who discovered Lady Gaga ... and her company is now going after The Purple One in court.

Singer Judith Hill made a name for herself on "The Voice" in 2013. Sony got interested in her. Ditto Jolene Cherry, the famed producer who first eyed Lady Gaga. Sony and Cherry partnered and claim they signed her to an exclusive recording deal.

A few months ago, Sony and Cherry heard rumblings that Hill was meeting with Prince for a recording session. They warned her to stop earlier this month, only to learn that she and Prince recorded an entire album -- 11 songs -- and released it Monday as a free Internet download

Electronic music maestro Major Lazer releases its third album, Peace is Mission, on June  It will be released by the Mad Decent label.

Similar to 2009's Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do and 2013's Free the Universe, Peace is Mission has collaborations with several Jamaican acts.

Among them are Tarrus Riley, Chronixx, Mad Cobra, Elephant Man, Jovi Rockwell and former Brick and Lace member Nyla.

Trinidadian soca star Machel Montano, British soul singer Ellie Goulding -- who recently topped the British pop charts with Love Me Like You Do -- are also featured. So too DJ Snake (who last year scored a big hit with Lil Jon called Turn Down for What), Ariana Grande, rappers Pusha T, 2 Chainz and Travi$ Scott and Danish singer MO.

Jennifer Lopes and Casper Smart did NOT get back together, because we found out they were never really apart.

Mavado has collaborated with Vybz Kartel for the remix of his single 'I A'int Going Back Broke' which also features US rappers Future and Acehood.

The collaboration is the first featuring the two since their stand-off which commenced in 2006, following Kartel's exit from the Bounty Killer-led Alliance group.

Mavado and Vybz Kartel had previously collaborated for singles like Sun Rise and Happiest Days. However, their highly publicised Gaza and Gully feud, later saw the two trading lyrical insults with the release of singles like War Is In The Air, Rifle Shot, Mr Palmer, Mofraudo, among others.

The feud also saw Vybz Kartel questioning Mavado's writing skills. "How yu fi give mi hype wen yu beg mi fi par? A mi write five song give yu, tun yu inna star," Vybz Kartel claimed in the single Mofraudo.

While Mavado attempted to defend himself by drawing attention to Vybz Kartel's skin bleaching practice.

The feud spilled over into a lyrical clash at Sting in 2008. However, fans were unable to decide who was the overall winner due to mixed reviews from media outlets and patrons who attended the show.

The two carried their feud into 2009, however, they were later instructed by law officials to put an end to the conflict, following reports that several high-school students were forming gangs showing affiliation to Gaza and Gully, among other issues.

The heirs to the Big Ship throne are at it again. This time, they have teamed up on a new album titled Great Minds Think Alike, set for release this summer. On the album, Di Genius doubles as both producer and artiste.

The 16-track compilation will have a mixture of different genres, including reggae, dancehall, R&B, jazz, rock, and hip hop. Chino said the name of the album is self-explanatory.

"We have collaborative history and chemistry. We are siblings, so we have similar thought processes musically and otherwise. It's very easy for us to work together because we know what we want to hear from each other. We understand each other better than anybody else," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.

He added that the album will be unconventional as it incorporates high-level production elements and out of the box ideas.

"Some of the songs are as long as nine minutes. It's not your typical album. We are going all out on this. It's about 85 per cent completed, but in the meantime, we will be releasing four songs earlier as an EP. The EP will be released in April to create a buzz around the album."

Tracks on the album will include Roots Sound,Family and I Don't Know, which also features their father, veteran reggae artiste Freddie McGregor.

In the meantime, Chino is gearing up for a tour of the United States in the upcoming weeks.

"I'm just working on some singles while here. Just trying to put out as much material for the local market," he stated

DANCEHALL artiste Mr Vegas has teamed up with hip- hop star Pitbull for a remix of his single My Jam.

The single is from Vegas' Euphoria album which was released last year.

"We wanted it to be a happy song and we needed an artiste to take us to another level, so we sent a copy of the track to Pitbull's team and they instantly jumped on the remix. He recorded his part and sent back to us in Jamaica and we did therest," Vegas told Splash.

Dancehall artistes RDX are using their latest song, 'Linky', to speak out about losing friends in the entertainment industry. The song was produced by Cash Flow Records.

"Experience teaches wisdom. So without the experience, the song wouldn't be real. Too many dancers to mention who we helped out switch and betray we, those were the weakest links. But we not upset about it at all, only inspired," he stated.

According to the duo, who sees themselves as an example of loyal friends, the single is relateable as everyone has experienced the friendship of a true 'linky' or has come in contact with fake friends.

"We enjoy really good friendships with most artistes, but some just straight up don't deal with us. They even say negative things about us, even though we never have a negative encounter with them. So we have a nice 'nuh like each other' contract going," Renegade said.

The video for Linky was recently shot by directors Cashflow Xtreme.Arts in the Waterhouse community, where the RDX movement began.

Dancehall entertainer Lady Saw will know on May 25 if the Court of Appeal will give her the opportunity to appeal against a default judgement entered against her for injuries caused to 60-year-old Dorothy Wilson, who was severely bitten by several dogs on September 29, 2009.

Lady Saw, whose real name is Marion Hall, is contending that she was not served with the claim form.

She contends further that she was not the person who employed Wilson to work as a day's worker at the time the incident took place. Hall claims that she was improperly named as the defendant in the claim form because, it was her sister who had hired Wilson.

Wilson stated in court documents that when she was picked up by Hall's sister and taken to their home in Chancery Hall, St Andrew, she was attacked and bitten by several of Hall's dogs while walking in the yard. She had to undergo surgery at the hospital as a result of the injuries.

In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Kris Jenner reveals that she's made Kourtney Kardashian the new executor of her will -- which doesn't make ex-husband Bruce Jenner happy at all.

This isn't the first time they've been together recently. Taylor went to Calvin's concert in Vegas earlier this month. There were reports he chartered a jet to fly her to the gig.

LEGENDARY music producer Bunny 'Striker' Lee's Gorgon Entertainment Studio was destroyed by fire on March 9.

According to the producer, all his music equipment valued at almost $100 million was lost in the blaze. The building, located in Duhaney Park in St Andrew, also houses a museum that contains Lee's music archive. That section was spared

Darius Mccrary was arrested and jailed because he was way behind in child support.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, "The Family Matters" star was in family court Wednesday in Oakland County, Michigan when the judge had him arrested and taken to jail.

Darius was given 2 options -- pay $5,500 in back support, or unpack and relax for 14 days behind bars. Darius chose door number 1.

McCrary was only in for a couple of hours and released later in the day.

Former "Glee" star Mark Salling has just agreed to pay a woman more than $2.7 million for knocking her to the ground in a furious fight over an alleged sexual encounter ... and the settlement is absolutely bizarre.

Roxanne Gorzela claimed in her lawsuit ... in 2011, she hooked up with Mark and she consented to having sex but he did not want to wear a condom and force unprotected sex anyway.

Reports that have emerged that reggae star Buju Banton has been released from prison and deported back to Jamaica have proven to be baseless.

A report on the website hypelifejamaica.com questioned whether Buju, whose real name is Mark Anthony Myrie, had in fact been released.

But a Loop News investigation revealed that Myrie is still being held at the McRae Correctional Institution in the state of Georgia.

Carson owns a house in a really nice part of Santa Monica overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There's a Chevron gas station next door -- we know that sounds weird, but it's a whole topography thing.

Seems the gas station believes Carson's fence is sitting on its property, and not by inches -- by feet. The gas station has sued Carson, asking a judge to make it clear to the host of "The Voice" he has to remove the chain link.

But that's not all. The friendly petroleum folks want money, and apparently lots of it.

We've reached out to Carson's rep but no word back.

What would you pay to hear the judge call the case and say, "Chain chain chain, chain chain chain, chain chain chain, chain of fools."

Rodriguez refers to Walker as the "deepest guy I know" and admits that after learning of his death on Nov. 30, 2013, she went off on the deep end in an interview with Entertainment weekly. Zayn has found a new direction and it's all about stepping out of the spotlight ... he says he's leaving One Direction to be just a regular guy for awhile.

Lil Wayne did it big in Hollywood ... as in big PDA with Christina Milian -- the first public confirmation of the rumors they're banging. 

Weezy and Christina were leaving a movie set on Tuesday and he had a firm grip on her hand ... something we've never seen them do out in the open. In fact, other than an appearance at an award show, the couple's been kinda like a unicorn. 

Christina -- who's signed to Young Money -- has been mum about dating the boss, but this is clearly their coming out.

As for why Wayne was holding her hand so tightly -- just a guess, but Drake was spotted in town.

A juror from the Vybz Kartel murder trial testified on Tuesday that his colleague juror Livingston Cain tried to persuade him on more than one occasion to return a not guilty verdict against the entertainer and four of his co-accused.

Dennis Brown testified that Cain approached him shortly after the start of the trial in November 2013 and told him that the prosecution could not be believed, and that he is to return a verdict of not guilty.
But Brown said he told Cain that the evidence he heard was not sufficient for him to make a decision.
Cain testified also that Cain again approached him in January 2014 with the same plea.

They are young men with bright futures and they are prominent entertainers,"Brown said Cain told him.
