The Audacity Of Limited Knowledge

I Think that we need to raise the bar a little higher in our discussion about the issue of Religion or  Irreligion within this forum. However, we also need to let it be more erudite and frank, rather than baseless and narrow-minded. For me, I view religion, especially monotheism or the western world view as it relates to sensitive matters of god and creation as a very interesting old topic to begin with.... So I begin by saying that the evidence of a anthropomorphic supernatural being as the cause for all that we see around us is becoming more unconvincing, for want of a better word, to a lot of individuals around the world in increasing numbers. Many think that the meaning of our life is not hitch on some invisible intelligent entity but rest solely on  us and us alone. Some say that it has been proven on several occasion through various medium in the academia arena that religion was created by mankind to appeased himself as to what is referred to as the mystery of life, especially during a particular time in human's history dubbed as the axial age. Philosophy, however tedious and uninterested in terms of its appeal to most people, is one of the few areas that tackles this issue head-on using various forms of arguments that hinges on the 5 branches of philosophy which are epistemology, metaphysics, logic, esthestics and ethics. The most fundamental bureau of philosophy is epistemology or the theory of knowledge.. that is 'how do we know what we think we know ? or how do we come to know what we think know ? The proponents of religious beliefs often claims that their knowledge comes from an unexplainable means as well as from their sacred text, but are these good enough to convinced a serious intellectual mind? . To some, there are no concrete arguments for or against the existence of any god , much less the western section of the world's concept of a god. The opponents of religion often argue that there are no evidence or cause known for the creation of the universe...They said that there is an existent standard theory or model called the Big Bang often used by the proponents of the western theistic sect, that has recently become a sieve while vomiting up many more questions than answers about it's validity.  However, there are a few more competing theories eg. The multiuniverse concept and the plasma universe concept, along with the standard model deals with scientific analysis or investigations, clearly have not come to any clear cut conclusion as to how all of this come to being...Yet according to the opponents of religion, to merely believe in a book(s) written by bronze age minds who were scientifically clueless as to how all of this began is overwhelmingly absurd and audacious. They say that the only conclusion that must be drawn is that we don't know or there are no evidence for any such claims as yet to support one view or the other...therefore we must suspend our speculative views however comforting they might be....So they conclude by saying that not knowing is not a bad thing(even though our brains doesn't operate in that way at times), in fact it can lead to more appropriate methods for investigating stuff like these. We are extremely young relative to the universe with brains that are very hungry for knowledge that it can't fathom, hence it seeks to create the answers without the aid of formal information to satisfy its voracious appetite....we make up stuff everyday during most of our limited life span...could god(s) perhaps be in that mix ?....Lets discuss further if you will...
