Jamaicans Earn Bronze In Women's 4X400m Relay

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jamaica's team of Chritsine Day, Rosemarie Whyte, Shericka Williams and Novelene Williams-Mills earned a bronze medal in the 4x400m relay in London.

The Americans won the event handsomely in 3:16.9, while Russia (3:20.2) placed second.

The Jamaicans clocked 3:21.0.

Christine Day on winning bronze:

"This is really one of my greatest moments but this was my worst day of competing in terms of nerves."

Rosemarie Whyte on winning bronze:

"I'm very grateful. We have a good team. We are very thankful. A bronze medal is great. Now we start working on gold or silver next time."

Sherika Williams on winning bronze:

"It was a tough race but everyone did a great job."
