CHELSEA have swooped to sign Germany midfielder Marko Marin.
The highly-rated 23-year-old will arrive in the summer from Werder Bremen after a £6million, five-year deal was agreed. Tottenham had shown an interest and Liverpool have also monitored the player's progress. But the ex-Borussia Moenchengladbach ace opted for Stamford Bridge. Marin said: "Chelsea is my dream club. I am happy I will get the chance. It is a challenge for me. "Tottenham were interested but I chose Chelsea as that fits perfectly."Marin was in the Germany squad for the last World Cup and on Spurs' radar after facing them in the Champions League last season. But Chelsea made their move quickly as they start planning for next season.
