Marley the new Bob Marley biopic directed by Academy Award-winning producer Kevin MacDonald will be available to watch on a Facebook stream for a limited time from 12:01am on the date of its realease-April 20th. Fans will be able to watch the new documentary, which is said to cast a new light on Bob Marleys life and music from the comfort of their homes by paying $7 using a link provided on the Bob Marley Facebook page.

The move, in archetypal Marley style is groundbreaking; being the first US movie to be made available on Facebook on the same day as its cinema release. Proceeds from Facebook sales will go to charitable organisation Save the Children whose President and CEO Carolyn Miles said: We are delighted that awareness of childrens needs will be raised through this innovative effort.
