Internationally-acclaimed hip hop artiste, Snoop Dogg will become the latest foreign act of note to visit Jamaica to record new material.

Following recent visits by American R&B superstar, Alicia Keys as well as Senegalese rap superstar, Akon to the island to work on new music, Snoop Dogg has announced that he will be travelling to Jamaica in the near future to record a new single. The announcement was made via Snoop Doggs official YouTube channel this past Monday as he honored what would have been the 67th birthday of late Reggae legend, Bob Marley.

In the video, Snoop Dogg puffs marijuana to honor the Reggae icon while playing one of Marley's highly-acclaimed singles, So Much Trouble. Near the end of said video, the Beautiful rapper revealed that he will visit Jamaica to record his new single, We Coordinate Peace, Love and Soul.

Last month, Alicia Keys landed in Jamaica, staying at Geejam Studios in Portland where she'd been recording material for her fifth studio album as well as reportedly working on collaboration with a prominent Dancehall/Reggae artiste. Two weeks later, Akon visited the island as he recorded singles at the legendary Tuff Gong Studios alongside the Marley brothers: Damian Marley, Stephen Marley and Julian Marley. He also visited the Bob Marley Museum and showcased pictures of his tour there, via Twitter during his weekend-long stay.
