CRAIG BELLAMY last night sealed a dramatic return to Liverpool. SunSport told you last Friday that the Reds were weighing up a bid for the fiery Manchester City striker. And the 32-year-old was locked in talks with the Anfield club yesterday before agreeing to a two-year deal. Bellamy, who has racked up an incredible £45million in transfer fees, was not thought to have cost Kop boss Kenny Dalglish a single penny. The Welshman first joined Liverpool from Blackburn for £6.5m in June 2006 but left for West Ham just over a year later. During his turbulent time at Anfield, he netted nine goals in 42 games. But he also attacked former team-mate John Arne Riise with a golf club while on a training camp in Portugal. After his stint at the Hammers, Bellamy's career has ground to a halt at mega-rich City under boss Roberto Mancini. And, last season, he was shipped out on loan to hometown club Cardiff, where he scored 11 goals in 34 Championship starts. Since then, City have been keen to offload him from their wage bill after the high-profile signings of Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero. And Dalglish swooped just hours before the deadline, with Bellamy set to wear the Reds' No 39 shirt.
