Dancehall-Reggae superstar, Byiome Muir, more popularly known as I-Octane will unveil his debutalbum to the world this fall.
The fourteen track album, entitled Crying To The Nation has already been completed & will new material from I-Octane along with classic singles such as Lose A Friend & My Life. It will also feature collaboration between I-Octane & Tarrus Riley on a track produced by DJ F****. Other producers who will feature on the album include Don Corleon, Christopher Birch and Jeremy Harding.
The executive producer of the album is Robert Livingston, Shaggys now former manager. I-Octane told the Jamaica Observer that his collaboration with Livingston has been a great success. It was a pleasure to work with Robert Livingston. His knowledge and insight is vast and I am sure it will boost this product a great deal, I-Octane stated. Livingstons 20 year partnership with Shaggy produced countless hit songs and albums, including the Hot Spot album which sold over 10 million copies worldwide. Livingston has also collaborated with fellow Dancehall legend, Supercat.
Crying To the Nation was initially scheduled to be released in August but has been pushed back for an October release.
I-Octanes manager, Ray Alexander told the Observer, We were late in getting the ads inserted in the international magazines and we wanted to the promotion to coincide with its release. However, Alexander insisted that negotiations with major record labels were almost complete; paving the way for the albums distribution towards being successful once its unveiled.
I-Octane has continued his rise to stardom in 2011 with hit tracks such as Badmind Fi The Year, Cry To The Nation & recently released singles such as Nah Wash & Who Wanna See I Fall.
