Popular Dancehall nightclub, The Building will be re-opening under a new name after being closed down over recent weeks.

The club, former known as Asylum Nightclub, will now be named Club Riddim & will open their doors to the public by that name, effective July 1st. The re-opening will include performances from Beenie Man & Jahvinci amongst other artistes. However, the club will re-open one last time as The Building for this Saturdays staging of Inclusive Saturdays.

American businessman, Corey Todd who once co-owned the club along with former business associate, Vybz Kartel will now be a spokesperson for Club Riddim, whos now under new management. In a press release issued today, Todd said, Business is business, I am still a part of the team and I will ensure that Club Riddim will do what I set out to do in the beginning and thats represent dancehall fully.
I look forward to get all selectors including ones I havent been able to work with in the past such as Stone Love, Foota Hype, Boom Boom, Raz N Biggy, Jigsy, Mario C, the Fresh Team and even Tony Matterhorn.

Tuesday nights will feature the event, Magnum Ladies Night Out, which will be hosted by Boasy Boy Floyd. The Club Riddim based event will feature new music from all popular Dancehall artistes & will also feature segments for upcoming artistes to perform & display their skills for the patrons. Ladies are free all night.

The Building formerly held events such as Street Vybz Thursdays at the Nightclub; named after Vybz Kartels popular Street Vybz Rum brand. However, a recent fallout between Todd & Kartel along with allegations that selectors were beaten inside the club amongst other things contributed to the demise of that party and, in effect, the temporary closing of the nightclub.
