Everyone is trying to get a piece of Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA). The New York Post reported this morning that Diddy, Jay-Z, Interscopes Jimmy Iovine and SRCs Steve Rifkind are all trying to sign the buzzworthy Los Angeles group.
According to sources close to The Post, Rifkindknown for signing Wu-Tang Clan, Big Pun and Akon, among othersis close to making a formal offer. But in order for him to meet with the young up-and-comers, crew leader Tyler, the Creator demanded: If you are serious about the meeting, I want Randys Donuts, swivel chairs and a megaphone.
OFWGKTA had Diddy set up a meeting with them and pop star Justin Bieber. Tyler asked Diddy for access to Justin, so he pulled strings. A rep for Odd Future told The Post, Tyler did meet with Justin, and Diddy helped make it happen.
As previously reported, Tyler signed a one-album solo deal with XL Recordings. His first retail disc, Goblin is set to come out on May 10, while OF sub-group MellowHype featuring Hodgy Beats and Left Brain, has their BlackenedWhite sophomore LP being re-released this summer thru Fat Possum.
