 Its not about dunce, people just like the hype the fast drop of the punch line and move on to the next song that in it self is what dancehall has been for many years long before kartel and mavado, from riddims come out with many artists on it sometimes upto 30 artist on one riddim most djs pick out the best song and mix dem fast looking for the forward from the punch lines, the artists when live on stage are doing the same thing... and when you say hip hop, bob marley or MJ if they where to do that ect... check it the slower the music for sure your gonna sing more of the song it you was about to sing a love song eg: "intro" then "baby gal mi love you" then you stop people would say you crazy cus dem never get to feel the tune but dancehall is a hype ting "a quick fix persay"  i do agree to a point that sometimes dem cut it to short thats why from long mi seh beenie man is the best dancehall artist him know how to keep the hype and sing a good amount for the song.

 I caa agree with you....If you look on the history of stage shows the length of an artist rendition of a song is progressive getting smaller.From lady saw, to ninja man come down to kartel and mavado.The difference is lyrics.Before ppl a write a song ,every line bad.So dem sing out everything and still a get fwd.Nowadays the first line bad(you lucky if the fisr verse bad)and then when you get to the 2nd verse is like an appendix, it nuh necessary, it just serves as a filler.which brings me to my conclusion that its pure dunces in dancehall.It all comes down to lyrics and the capability to write lyrics,because 2nd to the beat, the lyrics is the thing that ppl listen for,then the delivery.What separated kartel or made him relevant was the fact he WAS a bad lyricist.Now him come a equate mathematics wid dancehall,put out 3 -4 song a week and atleast one must be a hit.(law of averages)..
