Entertainer Egg Nogg was chopped in his face by another artiste on Monday.

Egg Nogg, whose real name is David Thomas, was at a recording studio in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew, when he was reportedly attacked and chopped in the face.

It is said that the chop which the artiste received may have damaged one of his eyes.

He said to have sought medical attention and was treated and released. He is expected to receive further treatment.

The singer is known for songs such as Meet Me At Di Party, a collaboration with Danny English and Gangster.

A spokesperson for Trendsetta Productions, his management company, said the incident involving the artiste was unfortunate.

"It is very sad as he has a date in Antigua, (on) November 13, and Los Angeles, the 26. Recently, he performed at LIME launch in Spanish Town," she said.

THE STAR was told that the entertainer was a peaceful person who was trying to stay relevant in the music industry.

Meanwhile, the representative said it is hoped that Thomas will recover fully.
