Olive Stanbury was pleasantly surprised when she discovered a giant cassava tuber growing in her backyard.
The retiree shared her great find with THE STAR yesterday.
Stanbury, who has transformed the land behind her house in Knollis, Bog Walk, St Catherine, into a productivegarden, said she does farming to keep active.
"It was about 1 p.m. on Monday I asked a man to dig a cassava. I was surprised when I saw this large cassava," she said.
The tuber measures five feet and weighs 25 pounds.
Inspired even more by her latest discovery, Stanbury said that she would continue to farm as it is encouraging.
