One On One OutAroad With Dancehall Artist Stein

ONE - ON - ONE OUTAROAD

We knew this artiste in the earlier days as Einstein, but now he has had a new approach to life and as such decided to change his name. He is now Stein. When one-on-one heard about the change, the scoop had to be done to see what was going on with this artiste and what sparked the change.

Shanique Campbell aka Shani
Interviewee:
Stein

OutAroad: What is your real name?
Stein: Jermaine Shaw

OutAroad: How old are you Jermaine?
Stein: 24

OutAroad: How long have you been in the music industry?
Stein: 6 years now

OutAroad: Really? What are some of the songs that you are most known for?
Stein: "Rise the Machine", "Rifle dem", "Tek weh", "Get Gyal Easy", "Bad Man Nuh War Ova Gyal" among others.

OutAroad: Weh you say you profile large! Lol Do you think that Gangsta songs have a negative impact on Jamaica?
Stein: No enuh, mi nuh think so

OutAroad: What kind of impact do you think your songs have on Jamaica?
Stein: My songs are self-defense as well as gangsta. So I know they dont have a negative impact, at least no more negative than the system. If you are gonna call my songs negative then a whole odda stuff ago negative.

OutAroad: You seem to be a laid back type of artiste, are you off the seen now?
Stein: I have never been off the seen or the most dominant artiste, no matter what; I would always have a song on the radio. But it is definitely something that I am working on.

OutAroad: What are some of the things that you dislike about the music industry?
Stein: Politics and Injustice

OutAroad: Fair enough, finally, what's your advice to young artistes out there?
Stein: If you love music, keep focused, pursue and it must come through. Never give up and believe in God.

We have heard so many times that what these artistes dislike the most is the fact that there is so much politics in the music business and the real talented persons are not given the opportunity to really shine. Stein's views are no different. Music is in our *lo**, if you pierce the average Jamaican, music oozes out, so I guess all we really want is just a fighting chance and a level playing field for everyone.
So there you have it lads and ladies. The scoop, as usual, lol. Continue reading and look out for a whole lot more. Don't be afraid to leave your comments and if you have artistes that you would like to get one-on-one with, send me an email. Until then next time, your girl Shani sayin PEACE and God Bless
