With a host of events slated for last Saturday night, It was a toss-up as to where most patrons would go to party.

THE STAR team ventured north to the Constant Spring Golf Club for the eagerly anticipated Rum Rage: 'The Wild Side Of Responsible drinking'.

The event originally billed for mid-June was pushed back to July due to the state of emergency.

The promoters of the event, the Fourth Quarter Group Of Companies (Ortolan Powell, Andrae Harding, Maurice Linton and Orane Newby) are beaming after hosting a successful event.

While the event got off to a slow start, ZJ Chrome warmed up the legs of those who came out early.

TNG Musik also featured and made great impact with a dancehall segment which included songs like Krazy Hype and Willie Bounce.

Dj Cyrus took over the wheels of steel and with songs like Popcaan's Gangsta City and Kartel's Thank You Father the 'gun salutes' were released on rapid.

At 1:30 p.m., DJ Wahwa of Darkcide International took over selecting duties. His set started off with an uplifting message from Sizzla Kalonji, and at the intro of Rise To The Occasion, persons swayed and waved with the wind on a chilly night.

He paused to big up a few friends and a couple parties before sending tributes to the fallen soldiers, using I-Octane's Lose A Friend to get the desired effect.

The real highlight of the night came, when the K'naan's Wave Your Flag. There was pandemonium as a few patrons opted to jump in the pool which had been a zone of inactivity for the most part.

"We just want to thank everyone that supported the group on this venture. This was our first event and we consider it a success. Looking forward to continued patronage from everyone that was here," was the message echoed by the members of the promotions group Fourth Quarter Group Of Companies.
