Roshan Shaw- Profile of A Sociopath?

hangshead.jpg
The main characteristic of a sociopath is a disregard for the rights of others. Sociopaths are also unable to conform to what society defines as a normal personality. Antisocial tendencies are a big part of the sociopaths personality. This pattern usually comes into evidence around the age of 15. If it is not treated, it can develop into adulthood.

Visible symptoms include physical aggression and the inability to hold down a steady job. The sociopath also finds it hard to sustain relationships and shows a lack of regret in his or her actions. A major personality behavior trait is the violation of the rights of others. This can appear as a disregard for the physical or sexual wellbeing of another.

Although these symptoms are all present, they may not always be evident. Research has shown that the sociopath is usually a person with an abundance of charm and wit. He or she may appear friendly and considerate, but these attributes are usually superficial. They are used as a way of blinding the other person to the personal agenda behind the sociopaths behaviour.
Many people with antisocial personality disorder frequently indulge in alcohol or drug use. They may use these substances heavily as a way of heightening their antisocial personality. The sociopath sometimes sees the world on his or her own terms, as a place of high drama and risky thrills. The sociopath may suffer from low self esteem, and the use of alcohol and drugs is a way to diminish these feelings.
The causes of antisocial personality disorder are thought to be either genetic or environmental. Children who are influenced by antisocial parents may adopt these tendencies. Similarly, role models such as one's friends or peer group may also influence the behaviour pattern of a sociopath. Antisocial behaviour is more likely to occur in men than in women. About 1% of women have this disorder, while 3% of men are affected by it.
It is very rare for a person with antisocial personality disorder to seek help of their own accord. Treatment for antisocial personality disorder is usually through group psychotherapy. Sociopaths often find it helpful to talk through and recognize their problems with people they can trust. In a number of cases, this type of personality disorder tends to diminish from the age of 30 onwards.

You break laws (even big ones).

You don't have a problem lying to get what you want.

When you say you're sorry, you usually don't mean it.

You have a love / hate relationship with your parents.

You don't like to joke about yourself - or when people joke about you.

You've lied to people just to see if you could get away with it.

You have a fairly high IQ.

You often act before you think about the consequences.

You got in trouble a lot when you were a kid.

You are secretive.

It's hard for you to be loyal.

You don't think in terms of "right" and "wrong."

You have been cruel to animals.

It's hard for you to empathize with people's problems.

You don't really have any plans or structure in your life.

You break people's trust

You are a pyromaniac.

You have at least one strange, overwhelming phobia.

You are very good at manipulating people and situations.

You are almost always bored.

You have cheated a lot on past partners.

You see people as your pawns.

Your relationships tend to be short.

You have trouble holding down a steady job.

You have been addicted to drugs, alcohol, or sex.

These are some questions , if you say yes to most or all of these or know someone who fits this profile. They have sociopathic tendancies. I have noticed this pattern of behavior among Jamaicans in the age group 28-33 and wonder what has our culture fostered that has allowed this behavior to be on the uprise. Roshan Shaw is a prime example and a few others I have encountered also. Some of them will sink themselves to sink others, without realising that in sinking themselves they never ''win'' because there was never a battle, therefore there was nothing to ''win''. Sadly, this shows a form of cultural demise as Jamaica has always prized itself on its spiritual solidity, yet we have individuals who blatantly disregard, God, themselves and others. They will lie to achieve the ultimate. Which is your misery and no real justification for their actions.  Their justification is also a lie..eg Roshan Shaw saying he and Ian Lyn had a relationship and he cheated. The  voice on one of the  recording boldly asks him(Roshan) to suck his breast like another guy. That right there made me see that his persuit was meaningless, there is no way he could cheat on him with the same guy he was requesting  for him to copy his sucking skills.. It would be him (Roshan) who was/is the sidekick and was obviously being used to satisfy the urge that the other man wanted from his real partner. However that story goes. Another obvious lie was to say that the man had drugged him, and in the same breath say that they were involved for years. Why drug your partner when you have been involved with them all along? When the spotlight seemed to be dimming Roshan Shaw who was outed from OGNR, because of his obviously personal vendetta, was asked by several of the members if he was indeed Audley Shaw's son, he ignored this question totally. In order to reclaim the spotlight he said Audley Shaw was his father, something Mr Shaw hasn't refuted or verify because he is too busy shaking his head in numbness like the rest of us. Mental disorder clearly evident in his unmotivated persuit.
