MZJA Moderators

MZJA is Jamaica and the Caribbeans premier discussion board with almost 25,000 members and growing. As such, we are always looking to have in place a dedicated team of Mods committed to serving our loyal members.

MZJA has there different levels of moderators:

Supa Dupa Moderator

Supa Moderator

Moderator

The level assigned to any individual is a combination of moderating privilege, years with the Board and discretion of Board Administration.

How to Become a Mod on MZJA

Have previous forum/discussion moderating experiencealthough not a must, experience with Sparklit forums is an asset.

Have been regular on the boardand participates in both chat as well as to the actual forums for at least three months..

Have some understanding of the Jamaican/Caribbean culture

Be familiar with the dancehall/reggae culture..

Demonstrate how you are able to help members such as uploading/downloading music, posting images and videos, etc.

Have to be decisive, fair, consistent, and mature in moderating forum posts and chat box and in communicating and dealing with MZJA members.

Once appointed as a moderator, be prepared to continue participating in the forums and in the chat box on a regular basis..

Persons with a passion for personal growth and development will be given special consideration..

Although exceptions can be made, we are looking for individuals who are at least 18 years of age.

Individuals for all countries are welcome to apply only we ask that each applicant be able to communicate effectively in the boards main language (English)..

How to Apply

If you are interested in applying we are not asking for anything elaboratesimply:

Send to MZJA some basic info about yourself (who you are, what you do, your main interests, your website if you have one).

Tell us how you can help members and the board..

As some Mods may miss your involvement and participation on the board, ask any three to recommend you...

Tell us about your previous history with MZJA (how long youve been visiting and how often).

Speak to any previous forum moderating experience youve had (or why youd make a good moderator).

Please identify which particular forum(s) youd most /prefer enjoy moderating.

Tell us where you are from...

Tell us why youd like to be a moderator...

What Are Your Duties as a Mod?

Mods are required to check the forums assigned on a daily basis and use the built-in moderation tools to clear up any issue. If the Mod for any reason is unable to handle the problem, it should be referred to another Mod.

Respond to members requests via email or private messaging. Againif the Mod is unable to handle the members request, it should be referred to another Mod.

According to Mod Status, privileges will range from the ability to edit, delete, close/re-open, move threads and posts and edit/ban members.

Recommend new forums and participate generally in how the forum is being run."

I was a very mature and well reputed admin on GUA (http://www.giveupalready.com/)  this is enough in addition to my cultural background and activeness to apply for modship...

How can you give ill-matic mod ship when him had it 3 times and never do anything good wid it.....ah no bias opinion dat.

I am more than capable of the mod ship if i were to apply and be chosen....i dont care for power, I would prefer volunteer without being chosen as a mod or given power....so you dont know anything about me Titus.

And what is so special about VIP??

I am happy being right where I am in status.
