After being closed for a year, the popular Chelsea Car Wash has reopened its doors, but this time it's different.
Owner of the car wash Vincent 'Richie' Richards told THE STAR the location at 2 Chelsea Avenue, St Andrew, will also be used as a party venue and hangout.
"I just built a little bathroom area, I will be building a nice bar and grill area and the place will also be available for rent for keeping parties. I am already getting calls from persons who want to keep events here," he said.
An official re-opening is set for May 28 which, according to Richards, will be attended by a host of personalities.
Entertainers such as Bounty Killer, Anthony B, KipRich, Terry Linen, Nitty Kutchie, Ghost, General B and other popular personalities like Lena British are known to take their vehicles to the Chelsea Car Wash for its regular wipe and shine.
The car wash was re-opened on Wednesday and among the first set of wheels to roll up was Usain Bolt's breathtaking 2010 Nissan Skyline GTR.
Like it's owner, who is the fastest man on earth, the 'black on black' Skyline garnered a lot of attention from spectators, some who took pictures with their cellphones.
"Nuh road nuh deh a Jamaica fi drive dis, it faster than Bolt ... Mi haffi tek a picture," a man said when THE STAR visited the car wash on Wednesday.
