The Government of Jamaica has come to the aid of deejay VybzKartel following his ban from performing in the sister Caribbeanisland of StLucia.
Head of communications at the tradeministry, WiltonDyer, said the ministry has contacted its highcommission in Trinidad & Tobago which has responsibility for StLucia and also intends to speak with VybzKartel as they probe the decision to ban the artiste.
There is concern as to whether the ban imposed by the government of St Lucia on the deejay has breached the CaribbeanCommunity (Caricom) FreeMovementofSkillsInitiative which relates to artistes, sportspersons, musicians and mediaworkers.
