A woman was given the option of paying $15,000 or spending six months in prison for allegedly using a knife to cut another woman in the face because of a phone call.
The accused, Sereta Grason of a Corporate Area address, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on a charge of unlawful wounding.
The accused woman told the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court that the complainant attacked her while she was walking with her baby because it is believe that she answered the phone of the complainant's boyfriend when she (the complainant) called him.
Grason told the court that she did not use a knife to cut the complainant, indicating instead that it was one of the keys for her house.
The complainant however told the court that Grason was lying and insisted that the accused woman had put a knife to her face and used it to cut her.
