Dancehall artiste Blak Ryno is certainly moving on since leaving the Portmore Empire, as he has changed his name, done a music video and collaborated with Kym, formerly Gaza Kim.
On Friday, Blak Ryno, via a statement issued by Shuzzr Entertainment, said he has changed his name to Ryno Di Stinger. In addition, he will be forming ties with a group called Garrison, which comprises producer Super Blunt and Kaliba.
Along with former Portmore Empire member Kym, he recently did a song called Last Night on the 'Summer Swing' rhythm, which is their first collaboration. The track, which has an R&B flavour, speaks of a relationship gone sour between a man and a woman.
Ryno has also done a music video for Mi Lef. In the low-budget video, there is a character who resembles Portmore Empire boss Vybz Kartel. For most of the video, he sings in front of the camera, flipping his phone at intervals. There are also many clips with persons holding several copies of THE STAR, which had articles about Ryno leaving the Portmore Empire and the incidents that followed.
