Two men were arrested after they were found with an illegal firearm and a quantity of ammunition at Orange Villa in downtown Kingston on Saturday.

Their names are being withheld pending further investigations, police said.

Information is that about 7 a.m., a police- military team searched the premises occupied by the two. During the exercise, a Taurus 9mm pistol, with serial number B52452, with thirteen 9mm cartridges and one M16 magazine with twenty-four 5.56 cartridges were found.

Police said the two men were taken into custody and are to be charged.
