Father leaves marijuana in son's Elmo backpack 

A father made a rather basic error with his attempts to store his stash of marijuana: he left in his son's backpack, which the boy then took to school. 

Elmo: does not approve

Authorities in Pennsylvania say the man then went to his son's elementary school to retrieve the nearly four ounces of pot from his son's Elmo bag.

State police say that Ronald Washington called Menallen Elementary School in Uniontown on Thursday morning to ask if his son had arrived at school.

Police say Washington then told school officials he needed to fetch something from the boy's backpack - which prompted school officials to search it.

When the school officials discovered the 113 grams of marijuana, the called the tpolice - with the results that when 33-year-old Washington arrived at the school to pick the pot up shortly before 9am, troopers were waiting to arrest him.

Washington was unable to post the $100,000 bail, and was held in jail.
