A Jamaican judge in St Lucia has been shot and injured by gunmen in that country.

The Gleaner/Power 106 News has learnt that the female judge was accosted by two masked men this morning as she was getting into her car.

The men reportedly shot her in the leg.

The incident happened around 7.30 a.m. in the community of Marisule, about 4 miles from the capital Castries.

The judge has been admitted to hospital but her condition is not yet known.

Investigators have also not yet established a motive for the shooting.
