MediaTakeOut.com just received word that NY Jets coach Rex Ryan underwent weight-loss surgery Saturday at NYU Medical Center yesterday.

According to reports, Rex underwent lap-band surgery. The surgery entails placing a rubber band inside your body, around your stomach. The band restricts the amount of food you can eat, and leads to massive weight loss.

Rex is 47 and currently weighs 340 pounds.
