With under a week to go before the staging of Congress Fridayz' Fourth Anniversary, promoted by House of Congress at the Club Afrodeziac, Portmore Town Centre, the label's main artiste, Hollowpoint has crashed.
The deejay whose real name is Chevaughn Stewart, sustained injuries to his head and arms when he crashed into a wall near his home.
According to the deejay, this is his second accident in two weeks. "I was hit off the bike last week when a bus man gave me a bad drive. I only got some scratches that time. This time I was just riding down the road near my home to come back. When I was on my way back, the bike wouldn't gear down and just went right into the wall," he said.
Hollowpoint, who recently signed to House of Congress Music and is scheduled to make a major appearance on their Congress Fridayz fourth anniversary, explained that the bike had been displaying gear problems after the first accident.
test ride
"I was test riding the bike after the first accident. The gear lever did get damage and I got it fixed and was riding to test it. When mi hold it down, no gear. A straight inna a wall mi go. Mi head chop, a mi skull mi a look pon," he said.
Hollowpoint has since received medical attention and is currently recovering.
As for the March 19 Congress Fridayz Anniversary at Club Afrodeziac, Hollowpoint says he will recover in time and will give it his best. "I am good for the anniversary, when me step out a mad ting," he declared.
The bike, a Kawasaki ninja, grey and black, had been his mode of transportation since he returned from the United States after doing some recording for Young Geezy with USAID and singed off as artiste "in the House". His latest, Players Play should cause a revolt effect as a party banger. Recorded on the House of Congress Label, Players Play and Fire Arms are his most recent set for music videos, so fans should be seeing him soon.
