The alleged leader of the Webb Lane Gang based in Palmers Cross, Clarendon has been killed by the police.

Vince-Roy Bent otherwise called "Chicken" was shot dead during an alleged gun battle with members of the Joint Task Force on Thursday and an AK 47 rifle with six rounds of ammunition taken from his body. Mr. Bent reported opened fire on members of a police/military team which was carrying out operations in Palmers Cross about 11am. The fire was returned and he was fatally shot. According to the Constabulary Communication Network, Mr. Bent was wanted for several crimes committed in various communities in Clarendon.
