Amy Fearn ... first woman to referee Football League match
AMY FEARN made history this week by becoming the first woman to referee a Football League match. Amy took control of the final 20 minutes of Coventry's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Championship after original ref Tony Bates was injured. But her woman-in-the-middle debut has sparked more controversy than a last-minute penalty.
of course a woman can ref a game as long as shes objective and fear and commands respect why not? if a woman can run a country why not a football match?
