Known for the single Wine on the Gal Farm rhythm produced by Notnice, one of the newest members of the Portmore Empire, Popcaan has clearly stated his intentions in his new single, New Year.

Popcaan is also featured on the recently released Bus Park rhythm along with Vybz Kartel and other members of the Portmore Empire, with a track called Tongue Ring, which is creating quite a stir in and around dancehall circles. On Russian's Bomb Drop rhythm, he also has a single called Fake Friends.

With a compilation mix CD currently being produced, set to be released shortly, this year promises to be a great one for 'Papi', as he's affectionately called, as he continues to produce quality music, with a fresh new twist. Already garnering interest with songs like Nuh Ordinary Girl on the England Town rhythm, and Hustle Food on the Russian-produced Nuh Fear rhythm, Popcaan is slowly but surely making his presence felt.
