The recent actions of a man said to be mentally challenged, has become the hot topic on the lips of residents from Gutters, St Catherine.
THE STAR heard that some two weeks ago, the 43-year-old man, Patrick McMasters, ventured on to a churchyard in the community where he saw a Hiace bus parked with the key in the ignition.
"Him nun play eno, di man see di key inna di bus so him jus drive it weh an all stop fi look gas to eno ... . Him hype!" remarked Sandy, a 26-year-old resident.
It is said that the McMaster drove away the vehicle despite several cries of people who begged him to stop.
Further reports are that he stopped at a nearby gas station where he ordered $5,000 worth of diesel. McMaster reportedly sped off without paying for the petrol.
It is said that the owner of the Hiace bus alerted the Old Harbour police and an 'All Points Bulletin' was issued throughout the Area 5 police division.
After speeding off from the gas station, McMaster is said to have headed for Spanish Town where he was eventually held and subsequently charged with driving away a vehicle without the owner's consent and obtaining credit by fraud.
