Dancehall artiste Erup was hit off his bike yesterday afternoon in Kingston.
When THE STAR contacted the Click Mi Finger artiste, he said: "I met in an accident this evening on Windward Road. Mi foot break in the shin. It swinging right now. Mi nuh get look after yet."
"To how mi crash, mi swear mi woulda dead. Di helmet save mi life 'cause mi did all a roll."
Erup said he was in the vicinity of the Rockfort Police Station about 3 p.m. heading to the John John studio to do recording when the accident occurred.
"Di man turn out pon mi. Di man just come over and nah look inna him mirror and lick mi off a mi bike. Everybody seh di car man just drive weh," Erup told THE STAR, while waiting for treatment at the Kingston Public Hospital.
under immense pain
He said he did an x-ray and was told that the bone was broken and the leg fractured. In addition, he said he is under immense pain but is trying to bear it. And, he is feeling some chest pain.
Erup popped on to the dancehall scene in late 2006 with Run Dem Head, which was very popular in the dancehall. In 2007, Click Mi Finger on Truckback Record's Gearbox rhythm was also a hit. Around the same time he started his own Fully Governed record label.
