Basically right now busy is suffering from a syndrome that affected Shabba, Sean Paul, Baby Cham, Mad Cobra etc. Once you achieve internation stardom you have to walk a fine line betwen mass appeal and yard credibility. People basically expect busy to be caught up in the gully/gaza ting but he is trying to elevate him self to a higher status. Same ting nearly reach Buju..actually did reach buju..most of his recent albums were targetted to Europe and US...thats how you win Grammy Awards. I think to date Beenie Man has been the most succesful at catering to the JA and international fans (and nuff people hate him but still affi respect him) Bottom line is Busy chine dem might not be in heavy rotation in JA or in hardcore dancehal venues but check BET and Billboard. I bet you find the videos there... Not many artist achieve that in there carreers.

a tru ting. Busy a 1 a mi artist but lately it sound like all him a do a sample old time and r&b tune. Dem jus dnt sound original. Him still inna di top 5 artist inna dancehall right nw though

boss lol yuh tek it way off topic, but mi ago tell yuh dis, Busy Signal ah 1 adi maddest lyricist inna dance hall right now (mek sure yuh read good ehh kno strate) but! dem recent tunes, besides "must come a light & pon me" (even thou I was refering to his new new songs like "bakka di house", "good good" (which sounds better edited), "Bed" (this one ok but like mi seh it nah really connect like) and even "Smoke". This one I can see appealing to an international level still, but he can do something better. Busy nuh lame but dem tunes deh, coulda guh stronger.

 

As for that gully/gaza ting deh......if yuh nuh know seh Busy nah focus pon dem ting deh idk where u've been for the past year. Ever since his altercation wid aidonia, him cyan inna di foolishness lol man nearly kill didi, memba dat. but anyway.

 

Busy Signal is not going thro any syndrome if he singing bakka di house and good good lol Him ah work hard yes but him need to listen him tunes and really think about his lyrics again. I think he's trying to make another hit like "up in har belly" & "Nah Answa"

His appeal so much internationally now.......yeah...usian bolt pass that limit, no disrespect. Busy I think needs a break, jus like Vybz Kartel.
