A Clarendon man was recently reunited with his long lost son after the lad and two other armed men broke into his house and attempted to rob him.
According to information received by THE WEEKEND STAR, two weeks ago a very strange and dangerous situation led to the father and son reunion, after three armed men forced their way into a businessman's house.
Two of the men, however, would leave empty handed as the third man realised that he had gone on a mission to rob his own father whom he had lost contact with for close to 10 years.
When contacted yesterday, the police said there was no formal report but they had heard of the incident.
"I heard something of that nature but it is not a case where I can say that's how it really unfolded, because there is no formal record of it. But yes, I have heard people with the story," a police constable said when THE WEEKEND STAR contacted the Area 3 police.
The policeman also admitted to hearing that the son has since been living with his father and is even employed to his business.
THE WEEKEND STAR did not get the chance to speak with the father and son but managed to source contact numbers for two residents from the community where the incident reportedly occurred.
The residents also confirmed knowing of the incident and said it was the father who afterwards told other residents of the bizarre case.
"A di talk a di town man, is a small world indeed. A di man himself tell di people dem wah really gwaan eno 'cause everybody did a ask when dem si di yute inna di place," a 32-year-old female resident explained.
"A jus God set it da way deh. A Jus' so dem did fi link-up back. Di father seh a bout 10 years him neva see him fah cause him (the son) mussi did go farin and run off," the other resident said.
