Prime Minister Bruce Golding is to meet with dancehall artistes Vybz Kartel and Mavado tomorrow as part of ongoing efforts to put an end to the rift among supporters of the two performers.

The feud between Kartels Gaza and Mavados Gully alliances has spilled over into some schools with resulting violence among students.

Information Minister, Daryl Vaz said the meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.

He also said a peace concert; involving performances by the two artistes could be on the agenda.

The feud between the two groups is said to have started three years ago.

Only recently Mavado whose real name is David Brooks, extended an invitation to Kartel Adija Palmer.

However, that invitation to appear at the same stage show was rejected until this morning when the two performed at a show in West Kingston.

its about timedo yall realize that alot of people got hurt through dis gaza/gully beefmeaning that tha people that got into senseless conflicts over gaza/gullyyounger ones pickin up badness and slacknessand theres a lot more ways, but check this u got grown professional people starting to feed into it taking sides when you rarely heard any positive music,mostly gun-gun-gun, marrow-marrow-marrow,kill-kill-kill, more evil messages than good positive ones and the younger generation praise & live by what theyve been hearingmost of them too far gone now to just change back come on

Dont make sense that people can't have a debate about which artist is better without having to result into the senselessness.

Artists been warring for years but more times it rarely got to that point.

I remember when it was the artist that united the politicians. Now its the other way around.
