A new system seemed to have forced its way into dancehall...and this current format is obviously not working

I remember when the sound systems use to buss a tune and the artist...

now the sounds system industry is flooded with clones...playing the same style every week.

I remember when a sound would headline the dance...now it seems like its the "promoter" that get the hype

unfortunately the "promoter" is obviously attempting to maximize his/her earnings, so they find a "sound" they can pay as little as possible to play for the night.

Unfortunately, these nuff of these "sounds" are selling their souls to spin cd to the point where  they attempt to outbid each other.  They have the equipment, they get the knowledge from a top 10 hits website, but they lack the musical ear...

I took a relative to a place to do some work and a yute was in the basement playing tunes.

Man had the equipment and the knowledge to even stream his tunes live over the internet.

Problem was that he sounded like trash... Its like the dude that has the newest soccer jersey, shoes and matching socks when they go on the field.  The woman at the club that act like she can tek the buddy...the impressive resume but no substance

Very impressive but not worth %&%*...unfortunately, he has dates booked until Jan.  SMH

People we need to attack this situation head on...we see the change and we are forced to adjust to it because, lets face it.  Its our entertainment. 

But don't let it take us, if cat and beenie can get bokkle a sting...we should do the same for these low-bid "sounds"

don't be afraid to bokkle a dj or boo dem ras till they play for the people...
