Montego Bay's flamboyant and somewhat popular figure Kenrick Stevens, widely known as "Bebe" was attacked and shot by a group of men on Monday night.
THE STAR understands that Steven's car, cell phone and a large sum of cash were also stolen in the attack.
Information reaching THE STAR is that about 7:30 p.m. on Monday night, Bebe was at a small hotel located along Queens Drive when a group of men approached him and opened fire.
This newspaper was told that he bolted from the scene of the attack but received injuries as his attackers sent bullets flying after him. One source told THE STAR that among the injuries Steven received was a fractured leg in addition to the bullet wound(s). He is set to undergo surgery today.
Bebe is well known in the second city for parading around in his car with other flamboyant men while blaring raunchy music.
