Vote for reggae singer Courtney John new music video Lucky Man on MTV U for fresh men video of the week. Voting runs from 8 AM (EST) Monday September 9, 2009 and ends 2 PM (EST) on Friday September 11, 2009 . Let show our support and vote for Courtney John Music video Lucky Man this is the only reggae music video in this competition so we need your help the video with the most vote will be added to MTV music video rotation.



Courtney John is not new to the world of reggae, but he revives the sensuality and security of the music with covers and originals reminiscent of Sunday evenings when the old schooled the young in the positive vibrations and footwork of the message and rhythm that is reggae music. Courtney John may be described as a wisp of rastaman with spring in his step and lyrics crooned with a sexy rasp of a Lucky Man. He blends timeless with the funk and drama of a Safer Place which reminds us that the message is the heartbeat of the music. Strangers will unite as One, standing strong and lovers will rock summer nights away whispering I Want To Get Next To You and making up to the lyrics of Miss You. St. Mary, Jamaica has produced another son with the magical words and mystical talent to take us back, bring us close, and remind us of the awtikal men and melodies Made in Jamaica.

Im really enjoying this sound at the moment, especially as fall is upon us here in NYC and I am feeling nostalgic for the summer. Reggae is a great way to imagine the warmth of sun and sand again, as this genre always seems to carry that association. And as Courtney John is attempting to recapture times gone by, the whole package particularly suits my current mood. For certain, its so smooth and sweet that its easy to swallow hook, line and sinker. A pleasant delight on the ears.
