Rite now is quantity over quality it seem, one heap a garbage man dem a sing. One artiste all have 4 song on one riddim. Rem wen beenie and killa dem use2 drop hits months dem song still a highlight, now as hit 2 week it dun.

absolutly but it cant be avoided because there are so much producers and beat engineers in the industry so its almost inevitable action needs to be taken as to how to go about it left to the bigger heads they kno the right way to do it

no this is not a trash post and you arent referring to the actual topic. this is about QUALITY not POPULARITY. and if they had have the same possibilities to spread and promote their music around the world 20 years ago, dancehall would be on a level way above its current one, cuz the quality of the music was better back in the days.

If it weren't for a handful of people, not even a handful, dancehall would not even be heard on the radio in the US.

Hell yeah. Imagine if half of the artists out today in dancehall were given the opportunity to be heard in the US, I mean given the opportunity to have songs on US radio. How many of them do you think would buss internationallly? Exactly, less than a handful again. Mi done talk.

it come in like when the koreans did flood the market with car rims...



and a lot of the lyrics and styles are recycled


takes away from the quality of a new artist that actually put in work.

Well i think it will slow down the industry soon... If youlook at it and listen to some of the riddimscoming out, they are continuation of another riddim. Some riddims are just being copied over and adding extra instruments to them...

DanceHall musica get bigger all over but the artist and them not bringing out tunes what you acustome t hear from them... Sometime it just like they have to be on a riddim and try think bout a song fast to say they on it...

But i know things will slow down soon, especially when the artist start see that their tune only play for a week  or so before a new riddim take over the hottune...

i agree bt ther iz also sum great tunes cmin out,its only that the %&%*ty tunes overshadows the good tunes.....the same as riddims the bad ones are overshadowin the good ones,its the same with hiphop ppl are complainin that the quality has gone down bt ther iz a lot of good hiphop they js dont get the airplay...im selective of what i download/listen to....

Too much riddim coming out every day ! This is spoiling the industry, because tune only get play couple time and a set of new riddim come out again. We want quality, not quantity.
