IRIE JAMBOREE ADDS TWO OF GAZA'S FINEST BLAK RYNO AND JAH VINCI ADDED TO TAKE NORTH AMERICA'S SIGNATURE REGGAE STAGE
Blak Ryno
New York, NY (Ms. RAINE INC.):While the Gaza Strip has been known throughout history as an explosive region in the Palestine territories, the 'Gaza' strip in Jamaica's coastal community of Portmore, St. Catherine, is well known for its explosive musical talent. Two of the Gaza's finest, rising Dancehall deejay Blak Ryno and singer Jah Vinci have recently been added to North America's signature staging for Caribbean music and entertainment. Their September 6th performance at York College not only marks their Irie Jamboree debut, but also their first appearance on a major concert in the Tri-State area.
Blak Ryno and Jah Vinci are appearing alongside Reggae and Dancehall stalwarts like Sean Paul, Freddie McGregor, Tarrus Riley, Pinchers, Sugar Minott, T.O.K., Assassin, and Vegas, and striking new talents like Laden, Chino, and Tifa--among many other performers--to document the 'history of the music' from the birth of classic Reggae to the digitally-driven Dancehall movement. Now in its seventh year, Irie Jamboree has earned a reputation for not only showcasing the biggest and best names in Caribbean music, but the leaders of the next generation of talent emerging from the islands and the Diaspora.
"Blak Ryno and Jah Vinci are two of the most talked about new artists coming out of Jamaica," states Irie Jam Media CEO Bobby Clarke, who in partnership with Black Emperor Entertainment, produces Irie Jamboree. "While their music is gaining a lot of momentum in theTri-state, fans have yet to see them on the big stage. Their performances are highly anticipated, and we are very excited to have them as part of Irie Jamboree."

Portmore has earned a reputation as one of Jamaica's richest areas in terms of musical talents, home to a wide variety of entertainers including Mad Cobra, Warrior King, I-Wayne, Gyptian, Bascom X, Spice, and Vybz Kartel.
Romaine "Blak Ryno" Anderson and Andre "Jah Vinci" Rhoden are members of the Portmore Empire, a collective of Portmore-based artists signed to Vybz Kartel's Adidjaheim Records. Ryno and Jah Vinci have been two of the Empire's biggest break-out stars with Ryno releasing the hit singles "Thug Anthem," "Mek Di Paper," "Bend Ova," and "Money on My Mind" and Jah Vinci releasing "Weh Dem A Guh" with Vybz Kartel, "Watch Yuh Friends," and "Wipe Those Tears." The recent success of Ryno and Jah Vinci, and the indomitable force of Vybz Kartel have brought the Portmore Empire to the forefront of entertainment, garnering a great deal of local and international attention and acclaim. Many Dancehall fans have adapted the catch-phrase "Gaza Mi Seh," touting their ardor for the Gaza-based Empire.
