The police in Hanover are investigating reports that two 15-year-old boys clashed over ownership of a home-made gun.
According to reports, the two boys had to be taken to hospital and left to nurse bruises and head injuries following their altercation.
Corporal Marcus Powell of the Hanover police confirmed to THE STAR that the police are investigating such a report. "Yes, we got a report of that nature and we are investigating," he said.
According to the information received, on Saturday about 2 p.m., the teens got into a fight. Residents could only watch after sticks and stones were eventually brought into play and both teens inflicted blows to each other. At the end of the fracas, they were taken to hospital.
According to the police, following the incident, residents reported that the boys were at odds over who owned a home-made gun.
"Based on what the residents told us, they were actually fighting over the weapon. Residents who witnessed the fight said the boys kept on arguing over the weapon," Corporal Powell stated.
