Ok, mi neva know before, but mi know now how di 'ting work. Download the file, burn it to a music disc with normalization off, finalize the disc to prohibit any future sessions on the disc.
Burn two copies. Now you got an official set of the Serato Scratch Live Timecodes cd. Use these in your table-top or rack mounted cd players to control most Virtual DJ software (Serato, Virtual DJ, Numark Cue, Traktor, etc).
Of course, this cd is absolutely useless without an external soundcard! You know, basically an interface box that you connect between your cd players, your mixer, and your pc or laptop. I found this one here, and it works great:
So, hook up your cd player to the external soundcard, hook up the external soundcard to your mixer, and pc, and now you can put those timecode cd's into your cd players to control the music from your pc or laptop, without spending $600 (if you can find the Serato Scratch live software, heck, just download Numark Cue or Virtual DJ for free!)
Hope this helps.
Zeeks.
