The St Andrew North Police has taken six persons into custody following the shooting death of a man and the injuring of four others in Goulbourne, Lawrence Tavern, St Andrew, on Friday night.

The dead man is identified 21-year-old Dainsworth Gray of Goulbourne. The injured include his 54-year-old father and three teenagers - ages 17, 18 and 19.

Police reports are that about 10:15 p.m. the five persons were playing a game of dominoes at a shop in Goulbourne when they were approached by a man armed with a gun. The gunman opened fire at the group. Gray died on the spot. The police were summoned and the injured taken to hospital where they were admitted in stable and serious conditions.

Detectives from St Andrew North Police said several raids have been carried out in the area since the incident resulting in the six persons being taken in for questioning. No motive has been established for the shooting.
