He is not so poor, is still 'boasy', but most important, he is alive and well.
Poor and Boasy, male winner of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition 2009, yesterday dispelled all rumours that he was either dead or seriously injured.
"Mi hear seh dem find mi body a Alligator Pond, seh mi get stab up and dead. Mi hear seh mi crash and mash up," Poor and Boasy, born Omar Johnson, told THE STAR. "A from las' week mi a hear dem argument deh. Mi hear seh it stink, stink, a town, but right ya now, a pon di beach mi deh, yu si mi?"
The recently crowned 'king' said he was in the countryside doing some business when he was b****arded by calls from concerned persons trying to verify the horrific tales they had heard.
With the air cleared about his well-being, Poor and Boasy is very much focused on furthering his career. "Yu know, since mi hear dem talk deh, a three new tune mi write," he said.
A music video is being planned for one of the three newly penned songs, he said.
"Mi career nuh tek off yet, but people mouth a di wickedest thing. Mi frighten fi a her dem talk deh. Anyway, mi waa thank everyone weh vote fi Poor and Boasy," the dancehall newcomer said.
