An actress once described as being so sexy she makes people want to "strangle a mountain ox with bare hands" has been named the world's hottest woman by a men's magazine.
House star Olivia Wilde scored the top spot on Maxim magazine's hottest 100 women in the world list, beating Transformers star Megan Fox (No. 2), supermodels Bar Rafaeli (No. 3) and Adriana Lima (No. 7), and Watchmen star Malin Akerman to the top spot.
Fox once told Esquire magazine that Wilde was so sexy "she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands".
Of Wilde, Maxim said: "When it comes to TV doctors, there is only one who makes our body temperature rise.
"The pulse-quickening internist played by Olivia Wilde on House, MD is named Thirteen and has a terminal illness that causes her to dabble in drugs and casual sex.
"But we were drooling over this NYC native long before she was injected into Fox's hit medical drama. Roles on small-screen faves The Black Donnellys and The OC introduced Olivia to the world, but it's her prehistoric part in this month's Year One that will put her on top of it."
The list of the top 100 hottest women in the world also includes Jessica Alba (13), Angelina Jolie (26), Scarlett Johansson (34), Jessica Alba (13), Freida Pinto (49) and Kim Kardashian (53).
Newcomers to this year's list included First Lady Michelle Obama at No. 93
