Health inspector dies from injuries

A 28-year-old health inspector of Carlston Close, Cumberland, St Catherine, died from injuries he sustained when his car crashed on the Nelson Mandela Highway yesterday.

Dead is Omar Campbell.

Reports received by the CCN are that about 4:30 a.m., Campbell was driving his red Suzuki Swift motor car, registered 8642FK, along the highway towards Kingston. On reaching a section of the road, he lost control of the vehicle which crashed into a utility pole.

The car overturned and ended up in a ditch. Campbell, who sustained severe injuries, was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Central Village police are investigating.
