A 24 year-old student of Heart Trust N.T.A was shot dead on a passenger bus at Spanish Town Road in Kingston on yesterday.
Dead is Cleon Thompson of Christopher Road, Kingston 14.

According to police reports about 2:45 p.m. Thompson was a passenger on a Toyota Coaster bus that left downtown Kingston enroute to Old Harbour, St. Catherine.

On reaching a section of Spanish Town Road, a male passenger pulled a gun and shot him.

The bus stopped and the gunman left the vehicle, while the passengers scurried to safety.

The injured man was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Denham Town CIB are investigating.
