After a tumultuous past couple of weeks where the internet and tabloids speculated about what transpired on February 8, Rihanna has finally emerged and issued a statement to her fans after being allegedly assaulted by Chris Brown. The statement, sent by her representative to People magazine, does not provide any details on the assault, nor does it doesnt shed any light on her immediate future. The statement simply provides a thank you to her fans that have supported her through these recent struggles.
"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," the statement says. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
This is the first time that anyone from Rihanna's camp has commented on the situation.
This follows Rihannas photo apparently taken only moments after the assault which was leaked to the internet on Thursday and caused an uproar. The very same day found Rihanna celebrating her 21st birthday as she was spotted in Los Angeles heading to the airport.
