The three most famous dunks in women's basketball history have been more special for their historical significance rather than their quality. jMFRfX4MY">Lisa Leslie's inaugural WNBA dunk and both Candace Parker's slam dunk contest winner and that jam from the NCAA Tournament were all fairly awkward-looking. They kind of looked like a dunk from that one kid in your middle school who could jam, but only barely so. Brittney Griner's dunks have no such issues.

The prep star was a YouTube sensation a few years back when video of her dunking in practice made the rounds. Now, the high school senior is jamming before games with even more authority:

Griner will play next year for Baylor. Skeets speculated last year about her NBA potential, but in the near-term, expect to see big things from her and the Bears over the next four seasons. The last high school girls player that had national name recognition was Candace Parker, and I'd say her career turned out pretty well.
