No-good hoodlums made off with a RBTT bank machine along Main Street, Lionel Town, Clarendon, with approximately $2.7 million on Thursday.
Information reaching THE STAR is that the thugs carried out the theft sometime between 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. yesterday.
Reports are that culprits gained entry by using a swipe card. Six bolts used to hold the machine in place were cut.
A police source also said the machine's alarm system was disengaged while the thieves used bubble gum to block the security camera. The Lionel Town police are investigating.
The robbery brings to four the number of automated teller machine (ATM) thefts in Clarendon since last August.
