According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Adriano could end up missing Inter's next two league games following the alleged handball during his team's 2-1 win against Milan on Sunday evening.
In fact in the past few hours the possibility of Adriano receiving a match-ban has increased drastically as the substitute attorney general Stefano Palazzi reported the incident to the sports judge Gianpaolo Tosel.
The judge is expected to decide on the punishment - if any - that Adriano will receive.
Fiorentina's Alberto Gilardino received a similar ban after scoring with his hand during the Palermo-Fiorentina game.
A lot will depend on what referee Roberto Rosetti wrote on his report card. If he saw the handball and judged it as accidental, then no punishment will be handed out to Adriano, but if Rosetti did not see the incident, then the Brazilian player risks up to two games suspension.
